33 and a half weeks!

Today I saw the doc. My blood pressure was 112/70. I've gained 23 lbs (according to the doc). Baby's heart rate is around 130 bpm. I'm measuring 32 weeks. Everything seems to be going well!

I've been having braxton hicks contractions a lot more often, especially when I have to pee. Sleeping is a royal pain in the neck/side/legs/low back! At least I'm not up all night with acid reflux though! I do get it after I eat sometimes, which is supposed to be a sign that my baby will have hair. We will have to wait to prove that theory.

My next baby shower is coming up and I'm super excited. I cant wait to finish the nursery! I fully expect to have to buy a ton of stuff but I have to wait until after the shower to make final purchases...but I'm still really excited.

I plan on working up until the baby comes. I have a really laid back job (when I'm not massaging) and will have no problems keeping up. Plus, its a straight shot to the hospital now that the highway is open again. It shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes to get there from my work, or from my home. And, since Justin works a mile down the street its super convenient. I have been told to get a trash bag and a pillow for the ride to the hospital just in case my water breaks in the car. And we'll have the car seat and my bags in my car ready to go.

I cant wait!! I'm really starting to get excited. I think its finally sinking in that I'm going to have a baby!

And for those of you who like to ask generic pregnancy questions....

No cravings, no nausea, yes back pain, yes tired, yes excited, no swelling, I'm due Feb 13th, I'm not ready to be "done" with pregnancy--too much preparing left to do. I'm only really uncomfortable after I eat and when I wear my jeans with a button and zipper.

I will take a picture this Friday on my 34 week mark!

nursery update

This is the canvas that I made for the wall in the nursery. How cute! I love the way it came out. The monkey is the same as the bedding.

I made this lion pillow case too. It also matches the bedding.

Not feeling too well today..

This morning I woke up and started getting ready for work as usual. I was just finished with my hair when I got dizzy broke out into a cold sweat and my heart rate went up. No fever or anything.. I had already eaten breakfast too. So I got a glass of orange juice--which usually helps but it didn't. I had milk this morning too, which is why I thought it was so weird. Milk is supposed to help lower your blood pressure. Anyway, I called the doc and she wanted me to go to the hospital to have some testing done but since we dont have any money and I dont have insurance, I decided to stay home and wait it out a little.

I then realized that I haven't really been eating the way I normally eat and I haven't had any really good source of iron this week. So I had some raisins and then Justin and I went and got some beef, spinach, and broccoli for lunch. I took an hour nap without even realizing and now I'm tired but am trying to stay awake so I can get some decent sleep tonight. I am feeling a little better, my heart rate has normalized and I have been getting up really slowly so I dont get dizzy anymore. I feel like I just ran a marathon though and I really want to sleep.

On a normal day I feel great! I'm moving around with a little more difficulty but still moving. I get out of bed like I'm 80 years old. I feel the baby move a couple times an hour now.

I have been having strong feelings(this week) that its a girl..we'll have to wait though. On Thanksgiving the Fisher's and Hendrickson's all think & hope its a boy and the Bellinger's didn't really talk about it..(which is what I prefer) We are still planning on naming the baby either Logan or Violet(Vi). I wish our last name wasn't Fisher because I LOVE the name Victor. But, Victor Fisher sounds dumb.

I also decided to take a picture of myself....so here I am at 29 weeks and 5 days. I cant believe I only have 10 weeks left! Last night I was really grossed out with the thought that there was something living inside my belly, but then I got over it. haha. I'm a little crazy.

I weigh around 134 which is about 24lbs more than before I was pregnant. I think I was closer to 114 when I actually got pregnant but I never wrote it down because I didn't think I was.. In any case, I've gained a lot of weight. My waist is now 38 1/2 inches, and its a pain the the neck to sleep b/c I'm a belly sleeper. I was able to sleep on my stomach until about 25 weeks but now its impossible. My chest is 37 inches and that makes it 3 inches more than I want... I cant wait until my milk comes in(not)....I'm going to need a whole new wardrobe.

hmm...I'll shut up now.

To everyone in KC, see you Saturday!!

28 weeks and some change....

I went to the doc today. He said everything was going great. I'm measuring 27 weeks. I had the rho-gam shot today and some blood drawn. The baby has been moving a lot lately. I've had a little trouble sleeping too but I have been making sure to get some rest during the day.

I also just checked the Chinese gender prediction calendar and it said girl. Plus, on my birthday I got a fortune cookie that said girl on the back of it...So according to the Chinese its going to be a girl. We'll just have to wait and see in February.

I'll try to take some pictures of myself and the progress on the nursery this weekend.

Baby kicks and belly laughs...

Everytime the baby kicks its an earth moving event. I know I'm not that big yet but I swear my whole stomach shifts. The poor kid already needs more room to move around. I also think its funny that whenever I laugh my belly moves up and down a lot. Which typically makes me laugh more when I pay attention to it. Anyway, the leg cramps have gone away for the most part. I think I may have had 1 in the past week.

I'm also gearing up for another trip to KC this weekend for Aaron & Angela's wedding and for Grover's funeral. I dont know how easy Grover's funeral will be for me because I cared a lot for him. I cried a little last night while I was doing the dishes. I was just remembering Halloween & Christmas' from my childhood. We had so much fun! I will definitely miss him!

Worst so far....

So, lately I've been having cramps in my legs at night. OUCH! The baby has also been kicking me in a really ticklish spot a lot. I think the baby tried to impale my liver earlier today.

I'm staring to make progress on the nursery. I still need to buy some fabric for the canvas and some hardware for the crib. Justin and I also still need to buy a new dresser so the baby can have the whole set in its room. We still haven't decided if we're going to put the closet door back on. I guess it depends on what we plan on storing in there.

Justin's dad bought us a camcorder. (thank you!!) It will come in very handy for catching all the cute little things that babies do. Hopefully I will be able to post some of the videos online so everyone can see them. I just have to learn how to use iMovie.

Also, I have finished my baby registry for now. I promise not to look until after the shower(so I can edit it for my next shower). I'm also getting a bassinet from a friend, I haven't seen it yet but its sounds cute.

I can't wait to see everyone again when I come to KC for Aaron's wedding.

I'll post a picture when I find my camera.

Saw the Doc....

Everything is going good. Of course, its not like he did anything to me. The baby's heart sounded good and I'm measuring right on target. Dr. Behm says I've gained 19 lbs but I've only gained 15. He's just mad at me because I have refused every single test he's wanted to do. I have really started showing a lot and people are starting to notice. Justin and I were buying some groceries and the cashier asked when I was due. I hope that doesn't happen much. Its not like it matters. I think I'm going to start lying to people just for the enjoyment of hearing what they have to say. "wow, you're too big for 15 weeks...." hehehe. I have decided that the first stranger that touches my belly is going to get their arm chopped off.

A Little Crabby...

Today I'm 23 weeks... whoa! Is this really happening or what! I took some pictures but I'm huge and think they're wrong but here there are anyway. I'm 124 lbs, 35 inches. So, I'm a little over half way and I've gained 10 lbs. Doing good! Last night the baby woke me up twice because I was laying on my right side and its feet were kicking my side in a way that tickled a lot. I think I woke up Justin because I was laughing. It was so cute! Anyway, here are my pics.

This week...22.5

Justin and I have been buying some random things for the nursery. We bought some sleepers, a crib mattress, and some more diapers. I keep trying to not buy anything but its really hard when I see such cute things especially when they're cheap. Anyway, the baby has been kicking a lot lately. I think its staring to become a little more regular. I've also drawn up the animals for the curtains & the canvas for the nursery so maybe I can get started on that project once I'm done with my quilt. I cant wait to get everything done so I can relax for a bit before the baby is born.

Also, my belly is way bigger than I think it should be..I feel huge already. It could just be me though.

KC Trip

I had so much fun going to KC this weekend. It was really busy but fun. First of all Justin and I stayed at Aunt Jan's (Thanks again!) and had a blast. We got to see Lindsay & Drew, who is super adorable. I forgot my camera though, so when I get my pic of Justin, Drew & I, I will post it.

Here is a pic of Aunt Jan and I before we left this morning! We're so cute together.

Then Justin and I went to see Grandma H and all the Hendricksons. I knew Denise was going to be there but I didn't know Amanda was too, so that was super exciting. It was so fun seeing them and reminiscing about Christmas' and slumber parties from 15 years ago! Here is a picture of the three of us. I think we look pretty good together too! (Of course, I'm no comparison to those two.) All in all, it was an awesome weekend. Plus, we got a free matress set! (Thanks Aunt Deb!)

Jennie's baby shower (last night) & my belly at 22 weeks!

36 inches & 122 lbs, so I've gained 8 lbs and 5 inches! (I think 6 of those pounds are all in my chest!)

Cute little winnie the pooh box

Jennie's baby shower gift from me. Baby bolero and Mary Jane's were hand made!

I will post pics of my KC trip tomorrow when I get home! I can't wait to see everyone, especially new baby Drew & Denise from CA!

almost 20 weeks

I know I'm not that big but this picture makes my butt look huge! I think I'm going to have to start taking pics from a different angle. eek. My waist still under 35 inches and weigh 121 lbs. Doing good so far. Baby has been moving a lot more! I'm getting more and more excited about becoming a mommy!! I still, for some strange reason, do not want to talk to strangers about my pregnancy. I feel like they dont need to know anything because I'm never going to see them again! I've been thinking about buying one of those t-shirts that has the don't touch sign on the belly. Luckily no one has yet! --of course you still cant tell I'm pregnant unless I hold my shirt tight. Hope everyone is doing well! (Dierberg's people--we need to get dinner!!!)

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

sorry folks...

I'm actually getting my stage 2 ultrasound next thursday...today was just a "check up." Stay Tuned...

Friday, September 12, 2008

Tuesday I see the doc again, finally. I'm not sure what all he/she's going to do to me but I should be getting some ultrasound pics so people can see the baby.

We are not finding out the sex(unless by accident). But just in case you were interested its either going to be Violet or Logan.

Also, the kicks have been getting harder. Daddy can feel them a lot now. I had some real coffee the other day and baby kicked me... :*(

Stay tuned for updates from the doc.

17 weeks belly pics.

Its funny how big my belly looks if I lean back a little bit. The next 2 pics are more accurate though.

I still dont appear pregnant to the public though. Which is actually fine with me because I really dont want to talk about it that much.

Now I'm about 118 lbs and only gained half an inch so 34 1/2 in waist.

I can tell where the baby is now but not always what its doing. I can feel it kick me about 1-2 times a day and I feel it move a little more often than that.

I'm still feeling wonderful. Nothing to complain about. Pregnancy is awesome!

Thursday, September 4, 2008

hehehe--17 weeks and kicking

Justin was trying to listen to the baby tonight and it kicked really hard and he felt it! I told him not to take it personally that our baby kicked him in the head. You should have seen the smile on his face though! It almost made me cry.

16 weeks

I have felt the baby move 4 times in the past week. yay!

The first time I was squatting at work searching for files on the bottom shelf. I guess the baby didn't like being squished. haha.

I cant believe I'm 4 weeks away from the half way mark. Where has the time gone?!

15 weeks belly pics

Here are the before and afters...

110lbs, 31 inches

This pic was taken april 29th, I knew that I was pregnant. We found out on June 7th I think.

Today, August 24th

116lbs 34 inches, geez I need to lay off the snack foods.

You've probably noticed I cant button my pants.

I think I look bigger than I actually am.

Saturday, August 16, 2008

Yay for me!

I got the job at The Face & The Body Day Spa!! I'm excited. I do have to learn to do less therapeutic work and more fluff but oh well. I haven't told them I'm pregnant. I'm afraid to. Today my new boss gave me an hour massage, it was pretty good for the most part. I was paying very close attention to where and what she was massaging because of pregnancy contraindications. She did pretty good.

Tomorrow we're going to start cleaning out the nursery. I don't know where we're going to put everything. I'm excited though.

Tonight we went to target and I wore my first pair of maternity pants because after I eat dinner I'm as big as a house. They're just little black stretchy pants. Anyway, it was fun.

Not a whole lot going on, other than growing a baby..

Here are some pics of things I've knit and crocheted for the baby. A few of these things I made a LONG time ago, and some of them are not finished yet. There is also a pic of first bought baby clothes from mommy & both new Grandmas! One day I was really feeling like I wasn't pregnant and I saw those little picture holders and they really brightened my day, first nursery decoration.

And, no I do not plan on posting pics of every single baby item. I still don't feel pregnant yet and this is helping me a little. When I was laying the little clothes out I was really wishing there was a baby in them so I could pick it up and snuggle. I can't wait to be a mommy!!!

Anyway, look at these pics.
These are the books I've read:
The Birth Partner
Organic Baby & Toddler Cookbook
Your Pregnancy Week by Week

Baby Boy Blanket I'm knitting

Baby Girl Circular Blanket in progress.

Baby Bolero. This was my first knit sweater!

Baby Girl hats and booties. The blue and green one has purple, which makes it very girly.

Mom bought the 1-800-grandma & the brown & beige outfit w/ teddies. Mom in law bought the Hollywood onesie in Hollywood a few weeks ago. And I bought the 3 in the center, and the gumby onesie I bought 6 years ago in the dollar store.

Baby Boy sweater I made a few years ago.

This is a little blankie for the baby to hold on to while wearing the cute little booties and running around the house in a diaper!

This is a flannel blanket I made. Its crib size. I has little bears in sailboats. I also made this a LONG time ago!

First nursery decoration.

likes/dislikes of pregnancy

Things I don't like anymore...
The smell of air conditioning.
Papa John's
Penn Station
Slow people
People who say, "are you gonna find out what you're having?" or "do you have really bad morning sickness?" when they don't know what else to ask.
That I'm too tired to go grocery shopping.
That Justin isn't doing the grocery shopping b/c he knows how tired I am.
Mosquito bites!!
Finding out that I don't like certain foods right now
When I eat something and burp it up every 5 seconds uncontrollably.

New things that I like...or that I like a lot more than before...
My belly gets all big when I eat or drink a lot.
The way Justin looks at me.
That I get to sit down whenever I want to, b/c I can!
Every once in a while I think, "there is a baby inside me!!!" and I get really happy.
Foot massages (done carefully)
Spending time alone with my thoughts
Looking at pictures of what my baby might look like
Telling everyone which food product my baby is the size of, right now a kumquat.
Eating. Its like all my food is hand-picked from God himself just for me! THANK YOU!
Being outside
I Love being with Justin, I just wish he would stop touching me so much! ha. How horrible am I!
I also love writing in my journals so the baby can read them later if he or she wants to.

Feeling Good!

For the past week I've been feeling wonderful. (other than tired) No more nausea or anything. I'm still working 50+ hours a week but that may be changing soon if I get a job at the Face & Body Day Spa.

Right now at St. Louis Injury I'm training a woman who can even use a mouse on a computer, let alone figure out how to cycle through windows! I'm really feeling the pregnancy hormones with her! She drives me nuts. Whenever she is shocked about something she shouts, "MA!" Um, what? Ok, crazy lady!

My new Dr. appointment is on Aug. 14th, I've decided not to do an ultrasound since I will be 14 weeks. The Doc wants to do too many of them so, I'm just not going to let her. We're having one at 18 weeks though.

I'm starting to feel pregnant

Whenever I wake up I absolutely do not want to ever get out of bed. I have to stand up really slow or I get light headed. In the morning I feel like I have the flu for a few hours. I barely made it through the week, and my next day off isn't until Thurs & Fri. Which we're supposed to be going down to the lake to celebrate my birthday but we can't go now because Justin has to work. So I guess I'll just sleep instead. mmmm....sleeping, I can't wait!!

I've also found that I can't really drink regular milk right now, just chocolate milk.

Sunday, June 29, 2008

I'm about to be tired!

I start picking up hours at Dierbergs and St. Louis Injury & Rehab this week totaling about 56 hrs a week of work. Compared to my normal 36 hours a week. I hope I can survive the summer! That's the end of my social life. I will be working 7 days a week for the next 7 months. Yeah right!

Also, mom gave me my first baby outfit. Its cute.

I think we've decided on the safari animals for the theme.

1st Dr. Visit!

Baby is doing great! Yep, just 1. Justin went with me and was a good sport seeing that it took almost 2 hours to see the doc. We got to see the baby's heart beat. I have pics but I'll post them later. My BP was a little low but, ok. My next visit is Aug 5th and we will get to hear the heart beating!! Baby is 6.2 mm long today. I don't think I'll be eating rice this week since that is what everyone keeps sizing it up against. My nausea is getting worse but its easily cured by eating.

Monday, June 23, 2008

Its funny how everyone wants to tell you everything they know about pregnancy. Most information I appreciate but on the subject of diapers, we are going to use G-Diapers. They are a little costly but are much better for the environment. They are cloth on the outside with a disposable/biodegradable/flushable insert. Yay! There is a video on the website on how to use them. We do plan on using regular disposables at the newborn stage since we will probably be going through a ton! We are going to start buying them soon too so we can have a huge stockpile. (as soon as we clean out the nursery...)

So, any other advice is welcome! We've got this one figured out. ;o)

Nothing yet..

No real bad symptoms yet. Sometimes I feel nauseas but nothing happens. The other night I felt like I was trying to sleep on a little raft in the middle of the ocean, but it was just Justin moving his foot. I have been a little more tired than usual. My pants are starting to get a little tight but I have a few good weeks in them still (I hope). Pretty soon we're going to start cleaning out the 2nd bedroom to turn into a nursery but that is going to take a long time.

That's all for now.

Wednesday, June 11, 2008

4 weeks 5 days

No symptoms yet! I wonder if its because I eat well and exercise. Well, it is early still. I am still having that weird feeling in my belly. Its not bad weird, just weird. Of course it still hasn't occurred to me that I am the one who is pregnant, so it should be interesting when I get that realization. haha. Maybe when Dr. Clancy tells me I'm pregnant I'll believe her, not the 4 pregnancy tests I took that were all positive. Also, loving the pilates. I just switched to it from my normal routine. The breathing exercises are wonderful!

Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Congrats to us!

These are the flowers Justin bought me. Aren't they pretty.

Sunday, June 8, 2008

Guess What!

I'm Pregnant. We just found out yesterday. I can't believe it, I tested twice though. I'm due on February 13th. I have been feeling a little queasy and my low abdomen has been feeling a little weird. I describe it as the feeling you get right be fore cramps kick in. Its very dull pressure, but I've been feeling that for about 6 days now.

Check out my cool baby ticker!
